KELLY O'MALLEY
Community & Family Support Chair
Kelly brings a lifelong commitment to service and a deep passion for supporting families to her role on the Givingmas Board. A career social worker, she is thrilled to work directly with Givingmas families and collaborate with the team to create meaningful, lasting impact in people’s lives.
Born and raised in Oak Cliff, Kelly is a lifelong Dallas resident with strong roots in the community. She retired from the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services after a distinguished career that gave her the ability to connect with anyone, anywhere, about anything. Kelly’s strength lies in her objective and empathetic communication style, which fosters trust, insight, and lasting connection.
Throughout her career, she has walked alongside families navigating personal crises such as incarceration, job loss, mental health challenges, substance abuse, abuse and neglect, and domestic violence. She understands that financial assistance is only one part of the equation—families also need guidance in negotiating complex systems and encouragement to build confidence in their own skills.
Kelly looks forward to bringing her experience, compassion, and perspective to Givingmas, helping families overcome barriers and achieve the best possible outcomes. She lives in Dallas with her husband, and together they are proud parents of a daughter in college.
