Introducing Crystal R.

Crystal first discovered Givingmas while searching online for Christmas assistance. At the time, she was on the brink of having her utilities shut off, her family’s vehicles were in disrepair, and she was falling further and further behind financially.

When we explained that Givingmas is not a holiday assistance program but an organization dedicated to creating lasting change, we encouraged Crystal to nominate her family and list the things that would help them live more stably and independently.

Within the first 60 days of working together, we were able to:

• Bring her utilities current

• Find affordable car insurance for the family’s vehicles

• Eliminate several creditors from collection agencies

• 
  

When one of her children’s cars—needed for school and work—was on the verge of breaking down completely, we partnered with a local garage to trade in the failing vehicle and secure safe, reliable transportation.

Just six months later, through her dedication and collaboration with Givingmas, Crystal has:

• Paid off all but one creditor

• Increased her credit score by more than 100 points

• Enrolled in certification courses to improve her job opportunities

• 
  

We are now working with Crystal to obtain her first credit cards as she continues building her financial foundation.

Crystal’s journey is still unfolding, but her story already shows the incredible impact of determination combined with the right support.
